| CFPB Issues Debt Collection Rule |

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau published a rule that will allow the agency to federally supervise the larger consumer debt collectors for the first time. The CFPB also released the field guide that examiners will use to ensure that companies and banks engaging in debt collection are following the law.

| CarMax Opens California Store |

CarMax Inc. has officially opened its first auto superstore in Oxnard, Calif.
The newest CarMax is located at 2001 Lockwood St. The store is more than 41,000-square-feet, occupies more than 12 acres, employs more than 40 associates and stocks approximately 300 used vehicles of nearly every make and model.

This compares to a net loss of $4 million in the third quarter of 2011.

| Ex-Manager Sentenced to Prison |

A former general manager was sentenced on money laundering charges. Kurt Bates, 45, of Nampa, Idaho, was sentenced to serve 12 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release and to pay a fine of $1,000 for misprision of a felony.
